About Yoga’s Nature
As a native of Sleepy Hollow, New York, I enjoyed a fulfilling career in Human Resources for over 10 years with various corporations. In 2003, two life changing events occurred I married my husband and moved to Richmond, VA. In 2004, a family flourished with a son and daughter who are my little natural yogini’s. This family brought me so much love and happiness I decided to dedicate my time to being a stay at home mom. A career which inspires me beyond words.
My journey with yoga began with a book that later opened a door to a class which led to a personal practice in 2001. As my yoga practice increased and deepened, my intention to become a teacher surfaced. This combined with Arlene Bjork’s encouragement and guidance, I attained the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Certification through Grace Yoga Training Systems. As a yoga teacher, I strive to instill in my students the foundation of yoga and how their practice will constantly change and evolve over time. My classes infuse opening the heart, alignment principles, linking breath to movement and maintaining an intention to melt the barriers away.
